not really a book but a manga, it gives you a lot of things to self reflect on, the whole journey of musashi in search of power becomes into why does he need it in the first place. one thing that it made me realise is every choice has its own flaws but making those flaws your personality is doing it the wrong way. the last chapter 327 before it went on infinite hiatus sure was slow but it wasnt boring or bad in any sense in the when this whole arc started i sure was wondering when are we going to see the next encounter of musashi to just enjoying the arc, well not enjoying but yeah you get it.
What I Talk About When I Talk About Running | Haruki Murakami
What I Talk About When I Talk About Running | Haruki Murakami
a non fiction book from murakami where he really talks about running, not running from things or problems but running as a habit. and i would be lying if i said that i didnt had the slightest of urge to adopt this habit but i didnt but someday i will... someday. tnis book gave me stuff to self reflect on and i would go back to it sometime.
no matter how long you stand there examining yourself naked before a mirror, you’ll never see reflected what’s inside.

ahhh this one had me impressed the way the story evolves and ofcourse the absurd erotic moments at this point it just makes me laugh how this plays out in murakami's novels but story wise it truly is a very well written novel especially the forest part.
Sometimes fate is like a small sandstorm that keeps changing directions. You change direction but the sandstorm chases you. You turn again, but the storm adjusts. Over and over you play this out, like some ominous dance with death just before dawn. Why? Because this storm isn't something that blew in from far away, something that has nothing to do with you. This storm is you. Something inside of you. So all you can do is give in to it, step right inside the storm, closing your eyes and plugging up your ears so the sand doesn't get in, and walk through it, step by step. There's no sun there, no moon, no direction, no sense of time. Just fine white sand swirling up into the sky like pulverized bones. That's the kind of sandstorm you need to imagine.
And you really will have to make it through that violent, metaphysical, symbolic storm. No matter how metaphysical or symbolic it might be, make no mistake about it: it will cut through flesh like a thousand razor blades. People will bleed there, and you will bleed too. Hot, red blood. You'll catch that blood in your hands, your own blood and the blood of others.
And once the storm is over you won't remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won't even be sure, in fact, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm you won't be the same person who walked in. That's what this storm's all about.
The Girl on the Landing | Paul Torday
The Girl on the Landing | Paul Torday
i had no idea that this was a psychological thriller when i picked it through out most of the story i was under the impression that it was some sort of romance novel or something close to this and it felt really boring for the most of it, it was only the last that became somewhat interesting for me i was curious(not excited) to know what was the deal with michael. but towards its end it felt like a rush.
Desire | Haruki Murakami
Desire | Haruki Murakami
a collection of short stories, i dont have much to say about this, the only two stories i remember is the first one the bakery attack something and the second one is the metamorphosis in which a roach turns into a human,an absurd one.
Metamorphosis | Franz Kafka
Metamorphosis | Franz Kafka
i would want to read it again if somehow the ending changed to a happy one, truly one of the sadistic piece of work i have read till this point. its only the hard times when you realise that people who you thought you knew are the ones who you didnt knew very well they are only there because you have something to offer to them i guess such is the nature of us humans.
Homo Deus | Yuval Noah Harari
Homo Deus | Yuval Noah Harari
i believe the perspective this book brought was only suitable for the people in that time, cause in the real world we are like doing side quests according to this book, but i dont think that the author was writing about the near future. it does has some opinions that makes sense but after a while it starts entering that fictional zone whcih is not the genre of the book. i skipped over the last part of the book it really gave me a bore at that point.
Norwegian Wood | Haruki Murakami
Norwegian Wood | Haruki Murakami
this being the first ever novel that i read id say it was a pretty good start, no one recommended this to me, not even the author was recommended. i just went to the book stall and picked this one up. i am writing this review after reading more of his stuff and i would say that this book leans a little back on the fiction part i mean the story is still fictional but you wont read the type of stuff he has in his other books, im not complaining about it, every book is supposed to carry a different theme. after reading what people think of murakami's work as some sort of male glazy, id like to lean back on that i mean it has what people say it has but almost all of murakami's work has a self narrative and when a man is narrating himself what do you expect? i think this has turned more into a author review than a book review but i am still pretty new at reviewing things considering this is my first.
death is not opposite of life, its a part of life.
