writing this one before i vanish again in the blue for months to come. idk if this will make it to the blogs but anyways we write and if we dont want it we tear it and throw it away somewhere for words are meant to travel and they do their part in doing so.

so umm… hell i dont have anything in me brain. well you probably mightve seen some new things on the landing page they are quite visible. well im doing my part in keeping myself busy with things i absolutely dont need, also i am out of the gaming habit that i got into i am somehow back like palpatine was. the new strokes album reality awaits dropped like a week or 2 ago and oh god what do i even say. jules sure knows his way around auto-tune the guy has absolutely nailed it. also spider-man bnd came out too and the odyssey as well, chris really put a lot in the odyssey and you can really see it, it was so good and spider-man well its spider-man we all liked it, i wont forgive them tho they made me cry over a emotional fake out.

anyways life is going as it is supposed to go. my 2nd year just started in the university and it is as it is supposed to be ass. well what can i say, somehow it seems all of sudden i have ran out of the juice that makes me want to do different things or i am just being lazy either way i should really put it in the bag and start learning things that i have on my imaginary list. nowadays i somehow find a lot of time to explore myself mentally even more, i have thoughts then i have thoughts that contradict them and i somehow i am still at peace maybe because it doesnt affect me in any way i am somehow fine with having second thoughts i dont think anyone should be worried about the second thoughts they have (if you have em) yolo.

what else… i will put this here i wrote this while i was getting bored in one of the lectures. “my desires are as limited to me as the meaning of everything till i exist. in a very true and close sense to me the only desire ive had is to have a simple life, do i simple job, a job that i myself want to do well not because it pays me but because i like doing it and it pays me just enough that i can do whatever i want to. i want to be… i want to be as free as my thoughts are from the shackles of the reality. my desire has been come to life since long ago. ive and i am already living a simple life. a life with not many complex things, or so i like to think in my head. the only thing left to do is to hold it and hold it together”

this is for a stranger that i like on the bus i take for the university “she reminds me (mostly the look she carries) of me from some time in the past, how i used( like) to be maybe i still am but im changing i guess… no i am evolving, its kinda hard to tell if i like it or not cause i am feeling quite neutral about it. maybe this is why i feel liking to her.” i dont know anything about her not even her name.

god why am i even writing this for (i know) only one guy is going to read it and i dont think anyone reads it or maybe that is what i like to think… (like is quite a weird work idk it feels weird) well anyways be happy cause u have already won, only you can be you.

“wishful thinking at its best the brightest smile, no wonder we met” - benches (when i say this i mean it)

hello pretty peeps! hope everyone is doing good. so, im back like really back not that i figured out something but if this keeps going future me is gonna take some hard hit. but anyways im not here to yap about that(or maybe i am).

so these past few months more like since last year vacation i fell into this rabbit hole called gaming. i spent quite some unhealthy amount of time gaming away i still am and i will admit it is fun. i am still yet to see the consequences of this addiction but i know what they can be and i am not fool enough to just wait for them. so, yeah i have started a new game red dead redemption 2 after completing the legends of zelda: breath of the wild (amazing game btw) you can check out the games i have completed here.

anyways this site has underwent a little change as well i moved away from writing raw html to zola. for those of ye fellers who dont know what this is its a static site engine, blazing fast (as their site claims) its written in rust or so i was told. anyways my opinion about is in good words.

so this is the structure of the folder. config.toml is some of zola config that is fun to play around with ig so, public folder just pops up when you finally upload your site for the world to see. it is created automatically, scripts holds a python script which is used to update the graph.json file in the static, static mostly contains the stuff that you dont really touch unless you are feeling lucky(just kidding), same with templates it contains the different .html structure for different things. inside content/blog is where you write blog in .md format.

+++

[taxonomies]
tags = []

[extra]

this stays at the very top of the .md file. tags is just the tags i put for my blog and zola automatically creates a index for whatever posts fall under that tag you can play with it in the config.toml i mentioned earlier. extra is well just extra stuff. there is also a little something that i have set up in my .bashrc so i dont have to copy paste this thing on every .md file i create for a blog.

yeah, i'm aware that i have been revamping the whole website more than i have been writing content to upload. the whole thing wasn't even done once but twice, and i still keep adding features to it. anyway, the site name has changed to vaeseth.me, and it is temporary; i will change the site name to vaeseth.com(maybe) once this .me domain expires.

anyway, one more year has passed and a new year has come upon us. i will turn 20 this year. i don't know how much different it will be than the time when i turned 17 or 18 or 19. why i think this is because nothing really changed in all those years except my ways. it's not that i feel more overwhelmed or underwhelmed. i have failed in doing some things so many times that now i don't try to not fail, but i try to not fail as often as i usually do.

in the past few weeks, i was getting close to knowing what my fears are—everyone should do this much more often. i realized that the fear i have is that someday i will lose my way and be something different. i am not afraid of losing kindness, because i know that isn't happening. what i mean by "lose my way" is that i will lose the focus of what i am shaping myself into. but why do i want to shape myself into something i am not? well, that itself is the answer. in addition to that, i think that i will like myself more if i become that, and i will be more kind.

this thing that i am trying to shape myself into is not the traits of a person i idolize. as a matter of fact, i don't idolize anyone—partly because i don't know anyone completely enough to feel the urge to become like them, and partly because i think everyone is unique to themselves. i think trying to be "normal" to ourselves is what should be unique to ourselves (i am not saying rob a store if it feels normal to you or kill someone, if somehow that makes any sense). anyway, i have planned out some things that i want to learn, both for my interest and so that i can make myself a living.

i have read two books in these past few months: "what i talk about when i talk about running" by haruki murakami and "vagabond" by takehiko inoue. both were quite reflective. the first was a memoir, and the first of its kind that i have read. i wouldn't lie if i said the urge to build a running habit crossed my mind while reading it. in it, he talks about... well, running. you have to read it in order to know what it is about because i am unable to explain it; there are many things, just enough to satisfy you.

"vagabond" is a really good one. i liked the story, the philosophy in it, and the idea of it. i will tell you what i made of the story and what i think it was about: every "way" has an error in it or two, and the point is to not try to run away from that error but to overcome it. the error in musashi's way wasn't the path he took—living by the sword—the error was the spiral of killing. whoever is at the top of the spiral is "invincible under the sun," and that is what the error is, because you or anyone else can't be at the top of a spiral. there is no top; it is just killing and killing.

to escape it, you have to throw away the want and the need to be invincible. that's why i think sekishusai said, "invincible… it is merely a word," and tells musashi to see deep within and know how infinite he really is. there are two quotes from these books that i tie together in an indirect way: "even if you stand naked in front of the mirror, the mirror can't show what is inside you," and "do you see how infinite you are?"

that is all, my dear fellas…

“do it for the people that have died for your sake, an entire generation that has nothing to say…” — the strokes

hello folks its me mario(oh, who am i even kidding), so i am aware i havent posted anything in like past 4-5 months i guess, i dont count. anyways i am back with my philosophy lecture 104.

today i might not be talking about a particular thing but multiple

so just earlier this day this sorta realisation crossed my mind, maybe i already knew but it was just now that my mind confirmed it to me, both religion and atheism are same in a way they both work on beliefs however agnosticism is a different or midground altogether it doesnt work on belief but on certainty, which in the case of agnosticism doesnt exist leaving a lot of room for doubt and skepticism unexplored.

now to me(no one asked) agnosticism isnt just about a deity, its about the living concept itself(samsara itself), its about how i believe or think that certainty is very limited cause its defined but not uncertainty which leaves me the courtesy to be even uncertain about myself. the idea is not to come up with a conclusion but to be certain about your doing. but i think i am too fond with the idea of uncertainty. anything happens any moment and the time you take in processing it, you loose your chance to act. you think you will be better tomorrow but again the uncertainty rises and you see your certainty falling into the depths of hope. hope is dangerous as people say but so is hopelessness which is like there is no ground that you can stand on.

how i deal with people is i act in reflection and not in reaction. if someone is kind to me, i will be kind to them, if theyre rude then so am i, its just giving what i took.

there is this thing that bothered me for a while. my contradictions, but now i have come to see them as an essence, contradiction lies in the very nature of universe thats why exceptions exist and one cant throw away the very thing that makes them human can they? as humans are also part of this grand universe.

to live with meaning and to die with none.

ask me why and i'll die…

P.S. I realised my blogs are more often revolving around me like what i think how i think and i am not sure if it should be that way or not.

hello, my crystal-clear people! hope everyone is doing great.

so today, this fellow saint has come all the way down from the peak of a mountain named wisdom just to tell ye all, actually, share his opinion about life, what i think of it, what i don't. and maybe a little bullshit from the right and some from the left. this blog might be named life or something, but it's not just the living concept or something, it's everything that makes up life.

now this blog might feel very random at times, so yep, just letting ye know!

umm… finding the right way to start it… actually, let it be open-started.

so, i think i understand life a little, not completely, only a little of it. but if someone asked me, "tell me what this life is about," i might not be able to tell them. i wouldn't be able to give a definition of it. and if i were asked whether i'm living my life on the same terms as i understand it, i'd still say no. and i guess it's the same way with everyone, no one truly lives their life on the same terms they seem to understand it.

some beliefs i have: that each of us, at our core, is the same, you, me, everyone, hell, even einstein. we are nothing different. i can do all the same things that you can do and vice versa. the only difference is the way we do it. but where does this difference stem from? i believe it comes from the idea that everyone wants to be different. that is the root of this difference. and maybe that might be the unique thing… maybe. but really, there is nothing unique about it. like, if everyone has this unique thing, doesn't it become a cliché?

people, at their core, are too attached to their beliefs. they don't want to abandon their belief just for some logic that could take away the comfort that particular belief brings to them. and also, that "people who believe without reason can't be convinced by giving a reason."

now talking about love, some people preach about it as life is not complete without it. but let me tell you what i think. i dont know if i've ever truly been in love or not. i was definetly attracted to a girl i used to talk to-i still like her-but i'm not sure what qualifies something as "love." so honestly, i dont really know what love actually is. for me, maybe its just deep affection and care towards to someone. when one is in love-if i ever was or still am-one try to stand out, try to be different from the crowd, just for that person to notice, to become someone that person like.

i don't know

speaking from the other side, a person who isn't in love usually craves it. i guess everyone wants to be loved-who doesn't? or maybe it's not love itself, but just the assurance that someone is around and cares.

as for me, i've kind of grown out of that desire-not completely, but to an extent. what i think is, it doesn't really matter. it's like this: if you never know what love was, you wouldn't long for it. you wouldn't care, or think, or talk about people you've never even met.

i feel (just my opinion) that an experienced life is better than just a good life, an experienced life can be a good life, but a good life doesn't necessarily mean an experienced one. i'm not saying you should experience everything, but you should experience life as much as you can. its just my opinion.

see, anyway, i am an absurd guy (oh, the irony), so the meaning of things doesn't really matter to me. because at the end of life, if i'm not there, then what do meanings matter to me? i'm just a guy looking for peace, looking for chances to be amused by this absurdity of life. and i won't lie, i'm having quite some time. but in between, i do become an existentialist who kinda gives a shit to some point. but beyond that, who are you, and who am i? it doesn't really matter.

yep, that was all in this empty head. will see you invisible folks later. till then, peace.

reality shift

hello, my invisible folks! hope you're all doing great. anyways, this blog has no specific thought process behind it, i just read placebo somewhere (book store) and here i am writing about it.

in this one, i wrote about the placebo effect or in general how the brain functions when perceiving reality.

reality: a matter of perception

well you know how everyone have their own way of perceiving this so called reality. we all see the same thing(unless you are schizophrenic) but understand it differently that might be because of the pattern that our brain creates in order to process information, connecting dots, making predictions like an ai copilot. this is what makes up the term optimist or a pessimist.

keeping this aside, have ye heard of the placebo effect? if not, let me explain. its basically the concept of beliefs replacing reality. point to be noticed that i said replacing not changing; there's a difference. no one can alter the objective reality, but belief can shift one's perspective of it.

for example, imagine someone struggling to achieve something. when they fail, they might drop to their knees and pray(not always) if they later succeed, they say, "it happend because god wanted it to." but if they fail again, they may not say, "god wanted me to fail." that's because beliefs often works selectively; we accept what we want to believe in the moment.

how placebo works

let me explain with an example, assume ther are two people one is superstitious and one is not one believes in science and one doesnt, so the overly logical and resonable person will often see things as consequence of different actions on the other hand the other might just classify it as fate (just an example its not really the case both know the consequences) so this is how placebo works beliefs replacing reality.

this is essentially what the placebo effect does. you don't change what actually happend; instead, you shift your perception of it, convincing yourself that your version of reality is the one that matters.

the reality that stays

even tho you can create a placebo for yourself, reality remains unchanged. what has happend cannot be undone, and what is about to happen will not bend to our wishes(murphy's law: "anything that can go wrong, will go wrong"). however, our perception is powerful. it shapes the way we react, make decisions, and even influences our emotions. but at its core, reality doesn't change only the way we choose to see it does. so in case you want to be happy but you dont have anything to be happy about just be delusional.

food for thought!

chaos cascade

my second attempt at writing a blog, the first one i wrote looked more like some chaos caused by a child. however, i kind of figured it out. everything on paper seems childish, more like some nonsense an old man or a 9-year-old might talk about.

putting all this in the trash can and coming to the topic i am here to write about: the chaos in the nature of the universe and how, once this chaos undergoes a chain reaction, it forms a ‘chaos cascade.’

understanding the nature of chaos

what i am talking about is this so-called unpredictability that catches us off guard many times, the unpredictability that might be caused by a certain unfold of events that don’t usually take place every day, these events or actions might seem very seamless, but they aren't. just like you and me, as humans, not everyone cares whether we exist or not. if either case were true, for them, it might still seem seamless, but in reality, it truly isn’t.

i might as well tell you about chaos theory, which also talks about this. giving a short history of this theory, it originated from the lorenz attractor, the face of Chaos Theory. So what’s the lorenz attractor? one fine day, a gentleman named Edward Lorenz was doing his usual study on the weather system. he used a set of equations related to atmospheric dynamics and experimented by slightly changing the initial values every time. every time he did so, he found something very intriguing, something he wasn’t expecting. he found chaos. he discovered that the outcomes of the equation differed vastly every time. to explain it using a figure of speech, imagine a butterfly flapping its wings in one part of the world, potentially causing a tornado or something very different somewhere else.

when plotted on a graph, the equation looked pretty beautiful. the solutions he found were known as the lorenz attractor, which kind of attracts chaos, and it’s the same way with our lives. maybe you give a lottery ticket to a beggar (which usually no one does), and who knows? The next day, he might be a millionaire or a billionaire. what this chaos suggests is that even a small deviation from the norm can cause something vastly different to happen. that’s what chaos theory is all about.

the chaos cascade

now, when chaos keeps happening repeatedly over time, forming a chain reaction, it becomes the chaos cascade-or, say, the new normal. what we are living in right now is a chaos cascade, and to break this chaos cascade, we have to introduce another chaos. But the simplest irony is that if every chaos enters the chaos cascade, the chain reaction never stops. We never step out of this chaos cascade, and we never will.

you see, chaos is not about bombarding anything until it looks like a mess. chaos is the subtle start of a change that is about to unravel. at first, it doesn’t look like a mess, but by the time we realize it, we are already a part of the ultimate chaos cascade without noticing it in the first place. we are surrounded by chaos, and the only way to break it is to cause another chaos. But it doesn’t go as we think, it acts like an endless equilibrium that never ends.

the endless cycle of chaos

so now you know a little more than you usually do. but the real question is, can we ever escape chaos? the chaos might seem like a simple wave of wind, but it won’t take long to form a tornado and cage you within itself. perhaps every effort to break the chaos cascade just fuels another one, an infinite loop, an equilibrium that resets itself. maybe the key isn’t breaking it but understanding how to navigate it.

see ya, folks. peace.

hello folks, this is aseth, the sole owner of this webpage. to be honest, there's not much here, just some casual talks and a few things i like. truthfully, i have no solid reason for creating this page. the only explanation i give myself, just to justify its existence, is that i simply wanted to create something. or, to put it another way, i wanted to play around with html and css. now, this isn't my first time using html (though it is my first time tinkering with css). i've used html before to build something for someone, but i didn't quite achieve what i was aiming for.

anyway, this page exists purely for experimental purposes, so i don't expect anyone to discover it, let alone read my blogs. i'm not promoting it, no social media posts announcing my latest blog entries, because i'm not a social media guy, at least not anymore. and since it's just an experimental project, i won't be flooding it with blogs every week or month(maybe i will). honestly, i'm writing this while listening to bohemian rhapsody by queen, one of my favorites.

as for improving the website's aesthetics, i probably won't. i prefer things to be simple yet visually comfortable, and in its current state, it delivers what i want (though not so much on phones, so yeah, it's not perfect). i'm also not the kind of person who enjoys tinkering with every little thing on the internet, so i won't be making any further changes simply because i don't feel like it.

i have a wide range of interests, yet nothing in particular fascinates me for too long. what truly captivates me is the art of understanding things. when i come across something interesting, i have this urge to dive deep into it, to grasp its essence, and to experience it firsthand. that's just how my mind works.

now, about this website, it took me around five hours to put everything together. hosting it seemed like it would be a challenge, or at least that's what i expected, but it turned out to be easier than i thought. of course, i had some help along the way. a dear friend of mine.

and now, ending all this nonsensical yaddi yadda which no one's gonna read, i have a final thing to say: i fluffing hate css with all my passion.
